Has the plastic waste been an imminent problem?
Since 1950, approx. 6 billion tons of plastic waste have been generated worldwide, of which 10% thereof incinerated, less than 9% recycled, and the rest 80% discarded or buried. The overflowed and stacked marine debris have specified the crucial issue of global excess waste.

Traditional surfactants are mostly derived from petrochemical materials extracted from crude oil, or biomass from the high-valued economic crops planted at the rainforest after its deforestation, neither of which solves the problem of waste nor reduces environmental pollution.
